So we’ve been “up” for a little while now, and we’re starting to get a steady flow of consumer requests. We’re really pleased.. most of the requests are very well written and give exactly the kind of information we imagine providers would want to know before deciding whether or not to respond.
All in all, that part is going quite nicely.
If we don’t have any providers in the system for a given request, we actually pick up the phone and start calling around to see who wants the business.
We never figured this part would be at all challenging… “Here’s a potential customer in your area, looking to spend money on your service.. do you want their information?”
Amazingly, we were wrong. Giving away opportunities is actually much harder than getting them.
I guess because so many sites charge such ridiculous prices for consumer referrals, people have a hard time imagining that anyone would be crazy enough to give them away for free in hopes of sending the kids to college on ad revenue.
Well, we’ve got 6 kids left to send to college between us and we’re sure as heck going to try!

/ March 18, 2010I think you guys are going to be very successful. I can feel the same excitement in you, that I have myself for my new business. It’s just fun and motivational and brings hope to start something and imagine success! I barely make anything as of now but I still love everything about making my cleaning business work. My prices are well below average and I actually notice that people are shying away , maybe thinking it’s a scam but I’m really just a person who has an idea
So much luck and I will share your page every so often on my FB wall! I wish you all the luck in the world…Is there a way to link you to my website?

/ March 18, 2010Thanks so much Jennifer. We’re going to pass on your comments to our wives – except for that part about barely making anything – that won’t help our cause
Checked out your website. Nice collection of services. Could have used you back when… one of us went to school in Ithaca, and never once got his deposit back when moving out
Interestingly enough, our “richest uncle” got that way in Syracuse and still lives in Syracuse. Hopefully, you’ll become the second ridiculously wealthy person we know there!
